The USDA's Food Safety and Inspective Service said on March 10th 2010 that Windsor Foods had recalled nearly 2 million pounds of ready-to-eat beef taquito and chicken quesadilla products that may have been contaminated with salmonella. This falls on the heels of another recall by Basic Food Flavors Inc. of Las Vegas on March 4th, where thousands of processed food products may also have been contaminated with salmonella.

A confidential government report says out of the people who take Avandia for diabetes, about 500 have heart attacks and 300 have cases of heart failure every month and this would be averted if patients switched away from Avandia.
