Continually revved up insulin production, the kind that results from continually eating high Glycemic carbohydrates, processed foods, and consumption of high Glycemic loads from overeating can lead to insulin resistance, and other health related diseases such as obesity and setting the stage for diabetes-associated complications such as blindness, stroke and renal failure.
When the body is continually subjected to high blood sugar levels, the body must continue to produce insulin to lower blood sugar levels.
