Jim Drouillard, professor of animal sciences and industry Kansas State Univerity, developed a technique that enriches ground beef with omega-3 fatty acids. The Omega-3 enriched ground beef is named GreatO Premium Ground Beef and is being sold through Manhattan, Kan.-based company NBO3 Technologies LLC. The Omega-3 enriched ground beef will be available mid-February 2013 at select retailers in Buffalo, N.Y., and expand to leading retailers and restaurants nationwide later this year.

Daily Soda Drinking Habit VERY Common According to New Gallup Poll
For about half of U.S. adults, soda is a daily drink, according to a new Gallup poll.
The Gallup Soda poll finds that 48 percent of U.S. adults say they drink at least one glass of soda a day. 56 percent of 18 to 34 year olds drink at least one glass of soda a day.
The poll is the first from Gallup to measure daily soda consumption.
